Desert sculpture park adventure shoot

Brittany & Giovanny

Salavation mountain, california

This is in my top 5 favorite wedding shoots of all time, and when you see the unique photos below, I think you'll definitely understand why. Brittany and Giovanny were married a couple years ago and have a tiny son on their hands, but they donned their wedding gear (still fits!) and went out into the California desert with me for an oh-so-different couples' anniversary adventure shoot. Whatever you call it, it's full of color, joy, and unique art. Taking place around the Salton Sea at Salvation Mountain and East Jesus, my assistant and I took this Vera Wang-clad couple from a religious painted mini-mountain to a bizarre sculpture park for sunset. It doesn't matter if you're religious or not; if you enjoy crazy places and stick-it-to-the-man art, then this shoot is right up your alley. "This place is quirky, and our relationship is kind of quirky," said Brittany as we were taking photos. I think that sums this one-of-a-kind photoshoot up just right.
