A Delightful Loft 433 Wedding in Troy, NY – Tania & Tay
The moment I received Tania’s wedding inquiry, I knew it would be a wedding full of personality. And after Zooming with Tay and Tania during the height of COVID, I knew it was going to be darn fun. And fun it was! A bit of rain didn’t ruin the day, and the dance moves, joy, and wedding party were all on fire.
Troy, NY—which neighbors New York’s capital of Albany just across the river—has been coming up in the world in the past few years. With hip farmer’s markets, an arts scene, Rennselear Polytechnic Institute, and funky restaurants all around historic homes, it’s becoming a cooler place to live. Locals Tania and Tay chose to have their wedding at Loft 433 in Troy, which boasts a unique bird’s-eye view of downtown, the Hudson River, and several bridges. It’s also a stellar place for a sunset.

About Loft 433 Troy New York
Loft 433 is a greater Albany wedding venue is a Mazzone Hospitality-owned industrial wedding venue location. It’s located—you guessed it—on the top floor at 433 River Street in Troy, NY, with 3 different roof access points: A mini deck for guests, a mini deck for the wedding suite/couple/wedding party, and a full roof deck for during the reception, complete with fire warming stations, chairs, and couches. And despite the intermittent rain on T&T’s day, guests were able to enjoy the roof deck and a stellar sunset.
It’s worth noting that because this was a lesbian wedding for Tania (she/her) and Tay (she/her), Loft 433 is LGBTQ+ friendly. The staff was great in general, as was the very hands-on manager (who even held my light for a few shots!).

Tay & Tania’s Troy Wedding Day
Say THAT 3 times fast! While Tay got ready at a friend’s apartment, Taylor got ready at the next-door-to-Loft 4333 (and walkable) Marriott hotel. We did their first look on the water’s edge. Their wedding party—one of the most fun, spunky groups ever, took some darn fun and irreverent photos before we headed up the elevator.

Two Brides, Too Stylish?!
Looking so posh in their respective outfits–Tay in her custom white suit from The Tailory New York (the perfect LGBTQ+ wedding suit maker since they’re women-owned suit makers!), and Tania in her dress + jeweled cape, and flawless hair and makeup. They looked awesome, and if only it hadn’t been raining, I would have taken waterfront portraits of them forever!
Two things to note about Loft 433: Food is very important to them, and the actual ceremony space is pretty bare-bones. It definitely needs to be dressed up with an arch and flowers, or aisle decorations. For food, Mazzone Catering is the exclusive caterer, and offer a wide variety of nontraditional and traditional appetizers, meals, group-style dishes, interactive dishes, and more.
For Tay & Tania’s Loft 433 wedding, we kept the shades up during their ceremony for ambient light. All of a sudden, sunlight streamed in during their ceremony. It was a beautiful moment, just a moment, and a wonderful reminder of the family members one of the brides recently lost.

Once the dancing started in the 3,500-foot reception space that the staff quickly converted, things got even more fun, because with a dance crew like theirs tearing up the dance floor, there was no way for the night to not be lit.
It was such a wonderful celebration looking out over the city of Troy, and with the coolest couple dancing the night away. Tania and Taylor, thank you for being so delightful! I had a blast capturing your entire celebration.~
